  • 400
    g
    frozen flaky or puff pastry, defrosted
  • 100
    g
    sugar
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 15
    ml
    cold milk
 

Method

 
Roll pastry out into 35 cm x 25 cm rectangle, 6 mm thick. Cut into 8 cm x 3 cm rectangles. Brush with egg yolk and milk mixture and sprinkle again with sugar. Twist each rectangle to form a butterfly. Brush again with egg mixture and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 240 ºC for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly golden. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 7 195 kJ (1 720 Cal). A portion: 240 kJ (55 Cal).
