It appears that load shedding is back, and here to stay for a few months at least. Have your candles ready and your torches nearby! We’ve got some great recipes to make that don’t require an oven, and even if you think load shedding = raw salad leaves. You’re wrong! We’re bringing to light (!) some electricity-free meal inspiration.

Naan breakfast pizza – Even though this is cooked on a Cobb, there’s no reason you can’t cook it on a braai – and place a large piece of foil down as the ‘griddle’. Simply use store-bought tomato sauce instead of making it from scratch. Easy peasy!
