WATCH: Chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen shares his go-to braai salad

At the beginning of this year Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen - chef patron of JAN Restaurant in France, obtained his Michelin star for the fourth year in a row. A fine achievement indeed. On top of gleaning Michelin stars, Jan also made an announcement that he will be opening a restaurant in South Africa

We caught up with the assiduous chef and asked him about cooking and entertaining at home. 

Here's what he had to tell us about his favourite way to set a table, his mom's epic tapioca pudding, the South African snacks he misses and so much more!
