MasterChef South Africa: Video

This week's MasterChef episode focused on showcasing South Africa's culinary heritage.

The first part involved putting the top 13 contestants through another 'taste test'. They were told to guess 15 out of 30 ingredients.

The dish: carrot cake

The 8 lowest-scoring contestants went into what judge Andrew deemed, 'the toughest Elimination Challenge yet!'

Their task? To cook an iconic South African dish at a specified restaurant in the winelands.

The challenge took on a style that was very 'Amazing Race' , as teams were given only four hours to get to their destinations, taste the dishes and get back to the MasterChef Kitchen, where they would have to recreate it.

Babalwa and Brandon made it back to the kitchen first. Unfortunately though, their luck didn't last...
