After the series The Crown came out on Netflix, we became obsessed with everything Queen E. including her food and drink preferences (apparently she indulges in chocolate cake and French champagne every day - but who wouldn't when you're a royal?).

Surprisingly the queen's grandson and second in line to the British throne, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and his severely photogenic wife, Kate, are quite 'casual' when it comes to what they eat at home.

William's favourite meal, according to Delish.com, is the ultimate British classic - cottage pie, while Kate has a soft spot for sticky toffee pudding (don't we all!).

TRY: Banting cottage pie with cauli mash

TRY: Sticky toffee pudding with toasted almonds and caramel sauce

And in case you were wondering... they do order takeaways from time to time with Kate leaning towards Indian curry as a choice, says Refinery29. William doesn't enjoy spicy food so it's unlikely that they will share.

If you were a royal, would you indulge in the more lavish culinary delights just because you can? Let us know what you'd choose in the comments section below!
