3 things to do with... cheese

So much cheese, so little time!

Many of my favourite foods involve cheese: Pizza, nachos, steak with blue cheese... or a summery salad of salmon and chevin when I feel virtuous.

Not forgetting that all-time great - the cheese toastie. Couldn't help but drool over Sardines on Toast's visit to Fynboshoek, an artisan cheesemaker, where he enjoyed a toastie topped with oozing goats cheese and thyme. Satisfy your cheese tooth with these delicious ideas:

1. Quick cheese puffs
Whip these unfloppable savoury treats up for brunch and serve with marmite and grated cheese for kids or smoked salmon and soft white cheese for discerning palates.

2. Easy cheese souffle
Souffle's got a bad rep, but they are in fact as easy as making a very thick white sauce and whisking in some egg white. Perfect with salad for a mid-week meal.

3. Three cheese macaroni

A great way to use up the leftover cheese from the weekend's picnic. Try equal amounts of Gruyere, mozzarella and ricotta. Or spike with Gorgonzola for a grown-up treat.
