Jenny Morris launches her new cooking show this January and we're excited

Beloved food personality Jenny Morris, is back on the small screen.

Jenny Morris, known as the Giggling Gourmet, is the author, magazine writer, food personality and radio and TV presenter beloved by South Africans for her vivacious personality, love for scrumptious full-flavoured meals that bring people together, and her extensive knowledge on local and international cuisine. 

Now her new show, From The Heart with Jenny Morris, will bring the celebrity chef back on the small screenIn this series, Jenny invites you into her life and her roles as chef, friend, wife, mother and host. Each episode is themed around those roles, and the audience will see her whip up delectable meals for every occasion.   

“‘Dinner’s ready’ is just another way of me saying I love you,” says Jenny. “That is why all of the recipes I create on the show are truly from the heart and carefully curated to cook up your very own love affair that just draws in all the senses and the people you treasure most.”

The show features themes such as soul food, for which Jenny will create sumptuous recipes from her travels, like her lip-smacking mango-and-apricot salad. She also expresses her love for her role as a mom – in the episode themed ‘Mommy love’, the food personality prepares slow-baked lamb in a rosemary crust served with lemon roast potatoes. 

The chef is a friend to all, and in her episode ‘Ladies who lunch’,she prepares the most sublime whole baked Norwegian salmon with iced cucumber mould, prawns and chilli-lime sauce.  

Salad-lovers can look forward to her mouthwatering fig, beetroot, pomegranate, feta and baby spinach salad and the appetising Vietnamese duck salad. She’ll present menu options for every occasion, such as her easy-to-prepare courgette-and-pea frittatas topped with smoked trout – perfect for canapés! 

Jenny also shares her favourite meatless dishes, such as her recipe for chickpeas three ways (pureed, roasted and marinated) with blistered cherry tomatoes. The foodie also cooks her famous fig-topped cheese mound, delectable seared tuna salad and a tasty berry pancake tower.
