Love a fruity cocktail? Try this kiwi-apple mojito

Summer is for the enjoyment of delicious fruity drinks. And for the mandatory energy drink the following morning, should you have done too much the night before.

So, to bring the two together, Red Bull has released a 2017 limited edition kiwi and apple flavoured energy drink. While it still carries that distinct Red Bull taste that all of the other flavours have, this one has a slightly spicier effect that leaves your mouth feeling a bit dry.

It does, however, give you that nostalgic feeling thanks to its taste that will remind you of those Gatti apple streaker ice lollies we all enjoyed as kids. I wouldn’t recommend drinking the Red Bull Kiwi-Apple flavour as is. Rather enjoy it as a cocktail or mocktail ingredient.

Kiwi-Apple Mojito

(alcoholic and non-alcoholic options)

6 wedges of lime
Mint leaves
Half a kiwi (skinned)
Handful of Granny Smith apple chunks

For the alcoholic option, add a double shot of Bacardi rum

Muddle ingredients together in a large glass
Add a handful of mint leaves into the mixture
Add Red Bull Kiwi-Apple flavoured summer edition energy drink
Top up with ice
Garnish with a slice of kiwi, a slice of apple and a sprig of mint
