An innovative new opera production, Lamento, with music written almost four centuries ago on the themes of love, violence, fear, hope, truth and reconciliation, is burningly relevant. Umculo, in association with The Market Theatre and Windybrow Theatre, presents Lamento, created by Germany-based South African tenor and director Kobie van Rensburg, at The Market Theatre, Newtown, from November 2 to 6.
