It’s that time of the year again. Where 20 of South Africa’s top restaurants are nominated to be short-listed for the prestigious 2014 Eat Out Mercedes Benz Restaurant Awards.
On Sunday 16 November the Eat Out Top 10 restaurants for 2014 will be announced.
This year’s nominees, in alphabetical order:
Bread & Wine – was nominated last year but was absent for 5 years.
DWEleven13 – was nominated last year.
Five Hundred – came 2nd in last year’s top 10.
Jordan – came in at number 6 last year.
La Mouette (NEW – see video below)
Makaron – was nominated last year
Overture – came in at number 7 last year.
Planet Restaurant – was nominated in 2013
Mosaic – was nominated in 2012 but was excluded last year.
Rust en Vrede – was placed number 3 in 2013
Terroir – was absent from last year’s nominations
The Greenhouse – came 4th last year
The Kitchen at Maison – their 2nd time being nominated
The Potluck Club (NEW)
The Restaurant at Newton Johnson (NEW)
Waterkloof – was nominated last year.
The Tasting Room – came in at number 9 last year.
The Test Kitchen – Was named number 1 restaurant in 2013
The White Room at Dear Me – (NEW)
Tokara – nominated last year.
