Top 10 recipes for the school holidays

It’s the school holidays and for most of us, there’s 3 whole weeks for the kids to run amok
at home.

If you’re not going away, you could be stuck with bored little darlings who
might chew the stuffing out of your new cushions.

Fear not! I have some fun cooking ideas that will keep them
busy and their tummies full:

Homemade pizzas – Super easy and great for the imaginations.
Making the dough and rolling the bases is half the fun! Then the kids can
choose their favourite toppings and enjoy the finished product. 

Easy peasy cornbread – This is so delicious and super-easy
using ready-made muffin mix.

Banana muffins with a peanut butter surprise – Muffins are simple to make as
well as being  a healthy treat that keeps
for a few days.

Gingerbread men – Have a ball decorating your gingerbread
men and then munch them afterwards.

Tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake – this is an easy dish to make
that kids just love. 

Pork sausage bake – this is a favourite that will make the
whole family smile. It’s so easy, your little one’s will be making it on their
own before you can say ‘supper time’.

Pear and honey smoothie – These are as good as a milkshake!
Add some almonds for a vitamin C kick.

Crunchies – Try making these low GI crunchies. It’s all
mix-in-a-bowl and are great snacks for sustained energy. Healthy and delicious. 

Strawberry and oatmeal crumble – This is a scrummy dessert that
will warm those tummies. Make them in teacups for a delightful tea party. 

Homemade hot chocolate – Warm the troops up with this delicious homemade hot choccie.
