It’s the weekend and pay day has come (and gone)!

From here it’s downhill to Winter and we’re so excited that it’s officially comfort food season. Bring on the soups, fiery curries, hearty stews, warm porridge and desserts with custard!

For now, indulge in your weekend feast. 

Kick off your weekend with these cheesy vegetable waffles that completely shuns the notion of waffles being solely part of the dessert menu. Savoury and oozing with cheese, these waffles go well with bacon and eggs. 

One of our bloggers, Dianne Bibby, shared a super fennel and cannellini bean stew with us this week and in the same post a tip that will transform the stew into a drool-worthy vegetarian feast. 

Chilly, Autumn Sunday afternoons call for warm desserts like this spiced apple pie with creamy caramel custard.

In the comfort food department, we’ve got a scrumptious mushroom and beef short rib ragu that will have your family coming back for more.

Add some Mexican spice to your weekend with this huevos rancheros. This recipe also offers an exciting way to jazz up your breakfast eggs.
