Child-friendly restaurants in SA

“What about the Spur?” is the stock-standard answer when I ask people to name child-friendly restaurants? Yes people, I had thought of that myself. Kids love the Spur, what is not to love, but sometimes their parents are after something other than a “taste for life”.

I’ve never seen a Spur with a lovely outdoor area (correct me if I’m wrong please) and I am always told by my friends who are now parents… “Don’t go to the Spur now Cath, you’ll go enough when you have kids!”

So we’ve compiled a little list of some child-friendly spots just to get the ball rolling… but what I’d really like from you guys is your suggestions. Please name your favourite kid-friendly restaurant with one line about why you love it so much and we’ll include it in our “family-friendly restaurants” hub, coming soon.

And please people from all over SA we welcome your suggestions… PE, Pretoria, Garden Route folk, we are asking you too. If you’d rather email us then do so on editor@food24.com

Your fellow parents will thank you!
