RESTAURANTS
Beluga:
serving half price sushi from 12-7pm every day – a very popular
restaurant with a lovely courtyard area. They also have an extensive
menu if sushi is not your vibe.
Sevruga: sister restaurant of Beluga – beautiful setting in the V&A waterfront.
Wakame/Wafu:
gorgeous view and fabulous open rooftop section. Very popular for after
work drinks with a relaxed vibe upstairs. More a la carte fine dining
in the downstairs restaurant with focus on seafood and sushi.
Grand Beach Cafe (Granger Bay): Possibly the most sought after spot in South Africa. You can’t beat a restaurant with a private beach. If you fancy treating yourself to the ultimate sundowner, go there.
La Boheme: an Atlantic Seaboard favourite. Perfect for almost everything. A superb, well priced menu with a busy vibe and great service.
BURGERS
Hudsons on Somerset: trendy and fun with an awesome burger menu.
Tan Que: do a fantastic burger plus other great specials throughout the week and weekend.
Cafe Extrablatt: German franchise – serve everything from pizzas, burgers to all day breakfasts, beers and milkshakes. Open till late.
STEAKS
Hussar Grill: … no question. Recently voted the most popular steak in Cape Town.
1800 Degrees: something they do superbly well is their steaks. And a very memorable roast pork belly.
ITALIAN/PIZZA
Il Leone: very popular Italian – more up market Italian menu with very delicious pastas and pizzas.
Posticino: a more relaxed vibe and probably the busiest Italian in Cape Town. A fantastic outside section.
Andiamo: situated in the “old” Cape Quarter – nice Italian in a funky courtyard setting.
La Vie: great view and relaxed vibe right on the promenade. Go there for beers and pizzas and the odd tequila. Great for breakfast too.
MEXICAN
El Burro: one of the “places to go” in Cape Town and great for groups who like drinking tequila. An awesome extensive Mexican menu.
San Julian: a smaller, very authentic Mexican with a great buzz. Go there for their famous margaritas.
PUBS
Slainte: get your daily dose of Guinness at this new Irish bar near the Victoria Junction Hotel.
Slug and Lettuce: 107 Main Rd, Greenpoint. A cosy pub vibe with TVs for watching sport.
Vasco’s: Sensational little sport’s pub with a great vibe and awesome Portuguese favourites on the menu.
The Fireman’s Arms: pub fare and pizzas at their best at this Buitengracht favourite. Plenty of space and loads of beers on tap.

Ari’s Souvlaki: fancy a kebab or falafel or schwarma?
Saul’s: a bit of everything and pumping till late into the night.
Trinity: One of Cape Town’s premier nightclubs and if you can eat a great dinner before you dance at one of their 3 restaurants.

Miss K: does an awesome Hangover Breakfast… say no more.
Zabad: newly opened in the Cape Quarter.
Victoria Junction Protea Hotel: Their restaurant does an awesome breakfast buffet.
Giovanni’s: a Cape Town institution for coffee and breakfast with an awesome deli section.
TOWN
Long Street is the place to go for late night partying and eating… There are too many to mention all but try…
F.east: for lots of lovely Indian curries and some good specials.
Sgt Peppers: for mixed menu and party time.
Cape To Cuba: for awesome cocktails and Cuban food.
Neighbourhood: awesome balcony with cocktails, beers, chicken wings, chilli poppers and other rad bar snacks.
&Union: situated on Bree Street but does hotdogs, sandwiches, pork rolls, steak roll and some kickass artisinal beers. Usually a festive crowd.
HQ: Also on Bree Street, steak is what they do. And very happening bar with DJs in house on the weekend.
Clarkes: burger diner on Bree Street.
French Toast: Tapas and wine on Bree Street and open till late. Trendy crowd.
