There is corkage on the menu says R40. Kinda high.But they do have a good Sauvignon blanc. But the burgers we had to tonight were divine. It was busy and we had children. They had seated us within minutes. Manager was very involved and food came out fast. Better location compared to others. Happily will return. And I did indeed have a mushroom burger which I thought was lekkar

Cab-driver pizza is a must - delicious

I must admit I expected a lot more on hearing about the Claremont store, I came away very disappointed. You go to restaurants to enjoy food you cant make yourself at home, I could have made this food 100x better with my eyes closed. The Boom Boom burger was burnt but at the same time raw, I couldnt taste or find any Biltong dust-it must have been fairy dust. The crispy chips were not at all as described instead they were oily, cold and limp and my wifes ribs were very small but average again with the not so crispy chips. The Bar1 milkshake was watery and didn't really have the taste of Bar1. There must be better burger joints in CT, I wouldnt waste your time with this one

As a reply to Lisa's review, we have looked further into the hair in mushrooms story. We have found that out of 5 boxes of mushrooms that we searched all of them contained items that resembled human hair. We also went as far as contacting Denny mushrooms who confirmed by means of a letter that the hair like peices come from a product known as peat which is the medium they use to grow the mushrooms through. This peat is completely harmless if consumed. On a personal note this is the first time I have heard of this product and if I was in the same situation as Lisa i also would have probably reacted the same way. All of our chefs have been instructed to keep a watchful eye on making sure that there is no peat in the mushrooms dishes before cooking them.

Today, I ordered a mushroom burger at Hudsons. On my first bite I found a hair, approximately 7cm long. Wanting not to ruin the meal, I put it aside and continued with my burger. After finding two more hair of such length, I decided to discuss the situation with an employee. The man, whilst turning red with embarrassment, rudely told me that they are ‘mushroom hairs’ and ‘normal’. I have been a mushroom eater for over 20 years and have NEVER come across mushrooms with hairs. On discussing the situation with our waitress, she told me that all of the kitchen staff at Hudsons are male and therefore they could not possibly have dropped hair in my food. This is one of the most bizarre statements that I have ever heard. The Hudson’s staff were condescending and rude. I at no point felt welcome or respected and will subsequently never eat at this restaurant again, which is a pity as I used to be a regular customer. P.S. I have placed a rating of one star only because I had to in order to submit this review. In reality your food and service deserves a zero.

the service i recived was terrible,, i had to waited for one and a half hours for my food and nothing was brought to me and then i went to the manager and he said that it will take another 10min but ended up waiting for another 20min. the worst part was i had reserved a table for that day,,,, a week before. i had left the restaurant HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
