Horrible service! We had 8 different waiters and had to wait very long. They served the wrong dish for my friend and it took 30 minutes until we received the bill. The worst thing was the parking guy outside: he wanted to have more money (probably 10 Rand or something), so he started to swear at us in a very inappropriate way!

Ermmm not great. Waiter was so full of attitude. It actually felt like we were doing him a favor by ordering and every time we asked for something it seemed like extra effort for him. Food was not bad and topped off with an Irish Coffee that was made with burnt coffee. Went with friends down from London and they ate at the Grand on Camps Bay earlier on in the day - Cold chicken burger with cold BBQ sauce. Pity because we wont be back and will stick to the Bungalow or shimmy.

So after much deliberation between the good, bad and ugly I tested it myself - Setting and ambiance is definitely 10/10 and I guess that is just what you pay for. Value for money 5/10, Food was mediocre to good 7/10, BUT service appaling 3/10. Next time I will deliberate a bit longer.

Great venue. They were advised beforehand that there would be a vegan in the party. Well the salad was absolutely shocking, I would never serve that to anyone. Main meal - I guess they tried - a little.

Perhaps THE most overrated place in Cape Town. The service was OK, but the food was shocking. I had chicken, which was a chicken breast , cut in half served on a plate with some yoghurt on the side. REALLY? R80 for that? The most tasteless piece of chicken I have ever had! And the chis and veg served with it was cold, and lo and behold, I had to pay EXRTA for that? and I didnt order it and assumed it was part of the dish? NO, NO NO, The Grand, you are a rip off and a disgrace. Our bill for a terrible lunch - R 650! I would rather go to La Mouette. Twice. at that price.

A magnificent venue, food is excellent, during the summer the out door portion and beach bar are a must. This is very much an upmarket venue, so bare that in mind. Cocktail menu could be a little broader. But overall a great place.

Absolutely stunning setting...like a movie location.Inside was a bit stuffy for the kids but they loved the beach. We ordered Margarita Pizza, veggies, cake and choccochinos. Food was very good quality.Baby changing station was very minimal and uncomfortable for baby. But a wonderful experience outside.Considering having my daughters party on the beach.Thank you.Unexpected and lovely. My guests from JHB were blown away with the setting and food.A gem!
