What your fast food says about you

It’s been a really tough day at the office. Gym after work? I don’t think so. The
treadmill can kiss my sweet, cushy tush.

The thought of making dinner from
scratch – no. It’s take-away time. But there’s no
need to hang your head in shame about it, we’ve all been there.

But what
exactly does your take-away choice say about you?

We go ‘food shrink’ on you and suss out
your inner junk food personality.

Steers (the take-away
of eternal youth)

Oh Steers, who doesn’t love a burger doused in a 1000 Island
sauce fest, tell me who?

If you’re one of those people who simply insist that “I
only eat Steers burgers! Their chips are the best man”, well then good on you
for your SA patriotism.

You’re probably also a kid at heart, the eternal
teenager, desperately hanging onto your Wacky Wednesday, Rave burger or Brat
Pack youth.

Don’t worry, we don’t judge your youthful ways, in fact we admire
it, so go Team Steers and carry on drowning those crispy chips of delicious in
1000 island glory!

McDonald’s (you love
a bit of foreign)

Way back in 1995 the first big yellow M opened the door to
masses of Saffas queuing for days to get a Big Mac.

McDonald’s – so shiny, so
big, just so… foreign, it was all too exotic. We’d seen that big M in many a
movie and now it was finally here!

Yes, McDonald’s lured us in with those
crispy French Fries… French – see – foreign, who wouldn’t want to go straight
to New York, New York or Paris after your first handful dipped in ketchup –
again ketchup – just so foreign!

Thank you McDonald’s for breeding a generation
of worldly travel explorers – thank you.

Wimpy (Because nobody
makes road trip coffee like Wimpy – nobody)

South Africans love road trips!

Oh yes. We’re talking
caravans hooked to the back of cars and bakkies, hitting the dusty roads,
travelling for hours with our padkos (boiled eggs and sarnies FTW). When the
padkos nears empty though – uh oh… Never fear, a Wimpy is always near.

The best
road trip coffee around, followed by a Wimpy breakie – childhood, dusty road
trip nostalgia memories all the way.

Even though you might be more into
artisanal coffee these days, we’re pretty sure once you hit the long road, your
inner hipster will cease to exist & Wimpy will just hit the spot.

So, who’d have thought picking up that take-away menu could
reveal so much about you?

We’re clever like that, it’s just the way we roll. Until then,
just remember to tip the nice people who drop those parcels of take-away
delights at your door – they are delivering life memories
after all.
