Do you tip delivery guys?

Is it necessary to tip for take aways or deliveries?

So this pizza delivery guy in the USA had a little tant (via Huffington Post) on the internet over a $10 tip on a $1463.93 pizza delivery bill. That was for delivery of 85 pizzas.

Now, we all know that Americans are very generous tippers, and boy do we love them for it. But it begs the question about tipping protocol here in South Africa.

Whilst tipping 10-15% (even 20% if the service is excellent) is the norm in South Africa (we hope) when eating out, how much, if anything, should we be tipping for deliveries and take aways?
