Last minute help with your Christmas menu

A very long and very special weekend awaits… with arguably one of the
most food-focused days of the year! We’ve spent the last few months
packing our pages FULL of fabulous festive ideas to get your taste buds
tingling and now you only have a few days left to perfect your Christmas
menu.

If you are still searching for ideas that will blow your guests away, we’ve selected a few special favourites from our festive recipe section. We hope they come in handy!

Get the party started with a welcome drink like this sparkling wine vodka and cherry cocktail.

For a fuss-free starter, we suggest you serve chorizo and chilli infused prawns done on the braai. They’ll be ready in mere minutes.

Have some Speculaas donuts ready on Christmas morning to have with your tea or coffee. Great to nibble on while you’re opening presents.

Want to do something a little different with your gammon this year? try these sweet chilli and gammon kebabs. Moreish!

Or go for a more traditional recipe like roast gammon with cherry and red wine sauce.

Have some roast potatoes handy to soak up the delicious sauce!

We aren’t forgetting the side dishes – promise. How about a bright and colourful (not to mention healthy!) salad of lentils, greens and pomegranates?

Or simple yet sophisticated lemony mustard green beans. If you’re on the hunt for more side dish inspiration – you can’t go wrong with one of these 10 Show-stopping side dishes to accompany your Christmas roast!

We
know South Africans don’t usually partake in the classic Northern
Hemisphere eggnog but how about trying your hand at a chilled version?

If you have traditionalists coming over, you might want to wow them with a chocolate and orange trifle.

Or how about my special boozy plum and cherry crumble served with vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Happy holidays everyone. Be safe and see you all in 2017!
