Jamie Oliver is a gem. The household name has come a long way since his days as “The Naked Chef” where he first started changing the way we cook and think about food – parading his quirky self around the kitchen chopping and drizzling and using words like “pukka tukka“, “wicked” and “beau-ee-ful“. We were all attracted to his laid-back attitude and simplistic style of throwing a few ingredients together to create a masterpiece.
Nowadays Jamie is known for his campaigning for better school lunches for children and fighting obesity in the USA. No easy feat! On top of this, the father of 4 has written over 15 cookbooks, has his own restaurant chain and cookware brand.
If you look at his website and social media platforms, you’ll see that Jamie loves to share his food with the world. His pages are all drenched in jaw-droppingly beautiful food images. Which is why we squealed with delight when we saw that he had shared a pic of milk tart with his 1,944,047 Instagram followers.
We’re already feeling patriotic with it being Heritage Month and we when we saw this, we just felt that much prouder! In true Jamie-style, he added his own twist to the recipe. But we can’t be mad at him for that.
