Your Weekend Feast: 18 August 2017

While Cape Town seems to be clearing up from the week’s rain, the rest of the country won’t be so lucky. From cold fronts to rainfall, it’s looking like a cold weekend once again. But here at Food24 we’ve got you covered as usual. Here are some recipes to try out and pass the time with indoors.

Big on breakfasts? These egg filled breakfast muffins might be just for you. If you’re not keen on making breakfast on the day (We know how cold Winter mornings are), this is the perfect breakfast because you can make it the night before.

We want your Saturday lunch or dinner to be interesting and filling. Try out this macaroni and cheese cake. Just don’t finish it all in one go (or do! It’s up to you).

Some more baked goodies for you this weekened… try out this bacon and mushroom quiche. Remember, if you bake it on Friday, you can have it all weekend long.

If you’re more of a “Cook now, eat now” kind of person, this cajun prawn taco sandwich will hit the spot. The taco is grilled to perfection with a saucy salsa and prawns on top. It will definitely warm you up this weekend.

It’s not a weekend without a good treat, or three. We’re still on the baked goods, and this saucy chocolate pudding is no different. You can bake this today and enjoy it for the rest of the weekend. Yum!

If you’re not into dripping sauces, you can try out this salted caramel apple pie here
