Winter saucy puddings we all love

With the chilly weather we are having, nothing beats classic warm puddings.

The puddings I ate as a child
have become my ultimate classics which I crave
like crazy to bring comfort and nostalgia into my life.

It’s such a treat to make a bread pudding,
creamy rice pudding or sago
pudding
. Oh
and what about a gorgeous, sticky Malva, brandy or toffee pud?  Now that’s Winter in a bowl.

When it’s chilly, we tend to
hibernate more, so why not take the time to make some of these classics at home?

The best part is that they are really
simple to make!

You can try my oh-so-delicious sticky banana
and caramel pudding
. The whole family will love it, it’s like warm
sticky toffee banana bread all rolled into one.

How about some homemade custard to go with
that? See my step-by-step recipe gallery here.

Food24 has some simply delicious versions of these spoon-licking classics.

Try some of these on for size:

Amarula Malva pudding – made on the braai!

Caramel croissant pudding – a simple but decadent warming dessert.

Chocolate bread and butter pudding – just a happy -making recipe for everyone to love.

Quince croissant pudding – stunning quinces jazz up this pud.
