What is the Recipe for Change project?
The Recipe for Change project is the vehicle through which Wonderbag hopes to encourage communities to use the Wonderbag and get Wonderbags into their homes and kitchens. The Wonderbags that form part of the Recipe for Change allotment allow vulnerable people who need it most to get a Wonderbag at a price they can afford. The Recipe for Change Wonderbags are only R90 each, while the ‘regular retail ones’ come in at R450. The Recipe for Change project Wonderbags, each with its own unique serial number, is a community-focused initiative fighting climate change and addresses the UN’17 17 Sustainability Goals. The Recipe for Change Wonderbags is subsidised using Carbon Credits to ensure they get to the homes and families that need them most. Wonderbags’ Recipe for Change project partners with like-minded organisations by issuing high-quality carbon credits certified by Verra. This valuable source of funding helps to scale up the manufacturing and distribution of Wonderbags, enabling Wonderbag to bring about positive change to hundreds of thousands of households across Africa.
