Finally, the weekend is here! we’ve been looking forward to it since Wednesday. If you’re a big whisky fan and are celebrating World Whisky Day, make sure to attend one of these events around SA taking place tomorrow, you are surely in for a treat. Speaking about treats, let’s have a look at what made this weekend’s feast…

We love lazy Saturday mornings and find that we have more time to make a delicious breakfast. Try this freshly baked Buttermilk and cheese corn bread with some fried eggs and a fresh glass of orange juice!

Brunch means almost lunch! Make this wholemeal pancake stack with fruity ice cream whip. Serve with some ice-cream spooned over it, topped with berries, honey and a spoonful of chocolate nutty sauce!

Something for the meat lovers – try these homemade classic beef burgers with monkey gland sauce and serve with fries or freshly made salad.

If you’re a part of the V-gang then this vegan shakshuka will be a good breakfast, dinner or lunch option.

Made with a bit of whisky, this smoky sriracha chickenbarbecue tastes amazing and is best served with roasted potatoes.

It’s been a minute since we recommended a baked pasta dish and this pastitsio with basil and sage butter is a meal all the way from Greece. The delicious flavouring of this pasta makes this the best weekend comfort food. Who’s in?!

This quick and easyto-make microwave Nutella fudge cake is great to share with friends (or not!).

The cold weather has set in and if you’re looking for a remedy to cure that cold, try this hot toddy to zap any nasty flu symptoms.
