Tripadvisor UK has announced their 2015 list of the crème de la crème of restaurants. Of course this list is predominantly international, however one of our very own Cape Town establishments has made the cut coming 22 in the world, as voted for by the public.
The top three restaurants in the world are Martin Berasategui in Lasarte, Spain, Europea in Montreal, Quebec and Maison Lameloise in Chagny, France respectively. Definitely ones to add to the travel and dining out bucket list.
The Test Kitchen is South Africa’s shining star at 22 on the overall list, which is of course no surprise if you’ve tasted the uniquely experimental dishes of Luke Dale-Roberts.
La Colombe at Silvermist Estate and Café Del Sol in Johannesburg took 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the South Africa region.
Both The Test Kitchen and La Colombe recently made the Eat Out Awards 20 nominees list. And Test Kitchen was named the 28th Best Restaurant in the World at this year’s S.Pellegrino Awards.
