There’s a new ice cream flavour on the foodie scene, and it doesn’t get more savoury than this

Yes, you probably guessed it, mayonnaise flavoured ice cream has arrived! Now, we love some creamy mayo with our food, it’s the base of many homemade dressings, and let’s face it – potato salad wouldn’t be the same without it but mayo-anything for dessert definitely has us contemplating…

We’re all about trying new creative inventions especially when it comes to ice cream but mayonnaise is not the flavour that comes to mind when we think of the creamy cooling treat.

Extra crispy reports that a Scottish ice cream shop, Ice Falkirk who invented the flavour, is no stranger to bizarre creations. They even have ham flavoured ice cream.

The company posted their latest invention on Instagram and it quickly generated over 89 comments with the majority of Instagrammers apearing to be into the idea of an ultra creamy mayo flavoured Summer-time treat.

On the contary, Food and Wine posted the invention on their Twitter account and the responses were filled with fear and distaste.
