The line-up for Chef’s Table Season 5 and 6 has been announced

If you’re a fan of the Emmy award-winning Netflix documentary series, Chef’s Table, you’re in for a treat! The video on demand service has announced which chefs will be in seasons 5 AND 6 of the hugely popular show.

Even though the documentary is beautifully produced and cinematically exquisite, the Chef’s Table creators came under fire after releasing Chef’s Table: Pastry for its lack of female chefs and people of colour. This is all about to change in the next two seasons. 

Here’s who you can look forward to seeing on your screens… 

SEASON 5 
Cristina Martinez  
Known for: Her activism for undocumented workers’ rights and for running the most well-known barbeque restaurant in Philadelphia. 

Bo Songvisava 
Known for: Highlighting indigenous ingredients and techniques from her native country of Thailand.

Musa Dagdeviren
Known for: Celebrating traditional Turkish cuisine at his Istanbul restaurants. 

Albert Adrià
Known for: Leaving school at 15 to work in his famous brother, Ferran Adria’s restaurant elBulli. Ferran is known for pioneering the molecular gastronomy movement. 

SEASON 6 

Mashama Bailey
Known for: Working her way up New York City’s restaurant circuit, where she eventually got to work at Prune for the legendary chef, restaurateur and author, Gabrielle Hamilton

Sean Brock
Known for: His specialisation in Southern cuisine and bringing a new style of cuisine that emphasizes the quality of local Southern ingredients.

Asma Khan
Known for: Setting up an Indian restaurant (with a team of only women) in London that grew out of a popular supper club. She is a Muslim immigrant to the UK.

Dario Cecchini
Known for: Being the eighth generation Italian master butcher
