The new hit by Lil Nas X first got our attention when the rapper reached out on Twitter to Gordon Ramsay, inviting him to a remix on his new track, titled Panini.
The chef and inventor of the “idiot sandwich” has a legion of fans both online and at home:
And after Lil Nas X’s earlier unorthodox pairing with country music icon, Billy Ray Cyrus on his break out hit Old Time Road, we can definitely see this remix becoming a reality. Chef Gordo tweeted back, and Twitter was thrilled!
The panini is an Italian inspired toasted sandwich, using fresh ciabatta bread that’s toasted between two hot griddle irons. The two classic ingredients of Mozzarella and tomato are cooked together inside the crisp bread, making the panini the ultimate toasted cheese sandwich experience!
Add other ingredients such as Parma ham, fresh basil or grilled chicken breast for a full meal. All this talk has got us craving panini’s of our own, so here are a few recipes you can try at home:
