Do you love to bake as much as we do? We’re excited for two reasons – The Great South African Bake Off is set to return to our TV screens on Tuesday 18 October at 8pm on DStv Channel 174 and this time around, there’s a new judge in the mix… none other than the bubbly and popular TV chef, Zola Nene. She’ll be joining Tjaart Walraven to make up the expert judging panel.
Zola says, “I started my career in the food world as a pastry chef, and ever since then, I have always loved baking. I am hugely excited to be joining the South African Bake Off family, simply because I am big fan of the show. I know it is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to meet all of the new hopeful bakers and join them on this exciting new adventure.”
We’re a big fan of Zola’s – remember the time we shared her recipe for rainbow bagels? Or these decadent white chocolate truffles? Or how about her peanut butter millionaire’s shortbread? Drool!
She sure knows a thing or two about baking so we can’t wait to see her as a judge on one of the most popular reality cooking shows.
