South African National Beer Day was born in 2017 as a way to honour our own beers in the height of Summer (International Beer Day takes place in our Winter which means we’re probably less likely to crack open a cold one when the weather is chilly.)

Beer is one of the oldest and most interesting alcoholic beverages. There is so much to know about it and if you’re curious to find out more than you do already, check out a few of the great articles below.

* Please be aware that Food24 does not advocate the abuse of alcohol and it is expected that if you try the recipes and/or other material provided on Food24, you do so responsibly, with moderation and with caution.
