DStv’s HONEY launched an all-new pan-African cooking show, House of Chefs, earlier this month. If you’ve missed it, it’s the very first cooking show of its kind with strong reality show elements, sensational food, a bit of glam and lots of nail-biting drama.

The show features South African celebrity chef and restaurant owner Siba Mtongana as the main judge, alongside Ugandan TV personality Sheilah Gashumba as the host and eight brilliant young chefs from seven countries across the African continent. The talented trainee chefs compete for a sought-after, prestigious internship at Chef Siba’s eponymous Cape Town restaurant SIBA and a cash prize of R70k. 
“House of Chefs is fresh and new,” says Zinzi Velelo, HONEY’s Head of Content. “Not only must you cook well to stay in the competition, but you also have to fight to stay in the game, and if you are voted out, you need to scramble to find a way back in.”
