Calling all wine bloggers

Can you believe it’s been two years since we launched a wine section on Food24? I can’t – it all seems to have rushed past in a whirl of wine, food, events, parties and bubbles.

We’ve had some VERY memorable Vinatics dinners  (enough said!), tasted some incredibly old wines and some brand new releases, tried quirky wines and classic wines, indulged in wines in magnificent settings with fantastic people, drunk some expensive wines and discovered some amazing bargains which we can all afford to enjoy.

If you haven’t looked at the wine section recently, you should go and see all the cool stuff we now have on there. Need to know about a wine farm? Then check out our wine farm listings and post a review on your visit – tell us which wine was your favourite so we can all go and try for ourselves.

Want to become savvy about Sauvignon and know your Merlot? Then take a look at the varietal notes for all the lowdown on these and more varieties. Got a question about wine? Then ask the expert and I’ll do my best to find out an answer for you.

Or you can look at our reference section to find out how wine is made, why oak and wine are a match made in heaven or just how long you should keep your wine anyway. And if you want a restaurant in the winelands then our restaurant database has a comprehensive list of places to eat whilst you drink.

Calling all Wine Bloggers!

And now that we have a lovely new blogging platform it’s time for all you budding wine bloggers to exercise your fingers and your corkscrews and tell us what you’re drinking.

A great bottle with friends, an urgent glass for medicinal purposes after work, a restaurant with a great wine list (and tell them to enter our South African Wine List of the Year competition as well!) – we want to know what’s going on in your glass.

Make sure you tag your post with a wine keyword “my glass” everytime you post a wine-post and if we love what you’re drinking, we’ll give you space on the front page of Food24! I’ll drink to that – and I hope you will too.
