Avocados are God’s gift to us avo-loving folks but a ring INSIDE an avo and a proposal with tears and other cute lovey dovey things? Heaven!
Avocados have infiltrated our timelines, our dinner tables, brunch plates….basically, they’re everywhere and avo aficionados are using the green beauty to ask their partners to spend forever with them.
A company called Custom Avocados now offers potential proposers the opportunity to make the proposals extra special by printing various messages on the skin of the avocados. They have printed numerous wedding proposals and we wouldn’t be surprised if their numbers increase in the next few months.
Initially seen on an instagram account called Food Deco; with the caption ‘tag someone who should propose like this’ and as you would have guessed, millennials were all over the post tagging their loved ones and friends.

While this seemed like an amazing idea to avo lovers, people who don’t like or understand the idea have been very keen to point out just how slimy the ring would be and they were not shy about expressing their annoyance with these foodie avocado proposals.
Those who have had avo proposals shared their photos (who wouldn’t?) but some of them were not as picture perfect as we would have hoped because the avos had started to turn brown. Gross. But it’s the thought – and in this case, the avo, that counts right?
