5 easy-to-eat snacks to keep in your bag for the election queue

Wednesday 3 August is Election Day and we want you to be wholly prepared when you take your place in the line to mark your X. What do we mean? Well, sometimes the queues can be rather long and if this is your first time voting, know that it’s always a good idea to wear comfortable shoes.

Secondly, you want to be hydrated – but not to the point where you’re dying for the loo every 5 minutes! (This is where you should exercise some caution and limit your liquid intake so that you don’t put too much strain on your bladder).

Next – you need to keep your energy levels up and to do that, you’re going to need fuel to get you through to the front of the queue.

We’ve put together a list of foods that are great for transporting and easy to eat with your fingers. So keep these in a small tuppaware in your bag for when your tummy starts to grumble. Pro-tip: pack a serviette or some wet wipes to clean your fingers.

Happy voting everyone!
