4 Guinness inspired recipes for St Patrick’s Day

St Patrick’s Day is an Irish holiday that is celebrated on 17th March every year to honour the patron Saint, St Patrick.

It usually involves parades, feasting on traditional Irish food and a LOT of drinking (It’s an Irish holiday, after all). And even though us South Africans don’t get too hopped up about it (unless you are of Irish blood), it’s hard not to get excited about cute little leprechauns, Irish jokes and all the GREEN! Plus, there’s no better excuse to head to the nearest pub.

If you are wanting to take the celebrations back home with you, we suggest you don your apron and get cracking on one of these Guinness-laden recipes.

Come on, join the festivities!

Guinness and honey glazed pork shoulder – gather your friends for a real feast.

Beef and Guinness pie – homey and comforting. This one’s a real classic.

Guinness beer bread on the Weber – Winter isn’t here quite yet… so light that Weber and try this beer bread.

Chocolate and Guinness cupcakes – these are gloriously moist and delicious with a rich chocolate flavour. Double the batch (trust us, you’ll need to!)
