Your weekend feast: 7 July 2017

It’s time for the weekend and this is a special one ’cause we’re celebrating World Chocolate Day (7 July).

If this doesn’t give you enough reason to indulge in all things chocolate flavoured, we don’t know what will! For now, feast your eyes on what we’ve added to your weekend feast menu.

With it being World Chocolate Day on Friday, we couldn’t let this weekend feast pass without adding at least one chocolate recipe – molten salted caramel chocolate puddings. We’re also so excited to share this recipe with you as this is the exact photo to which our blogger, Heinstirred owes his first place (in the food blogger category at the 2017 Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year).

Winter is progressing rapidly and even though the rain has been scarce, the low temperatures call for warm soup. Make this sun-dried tomato soup and and serve with homemade bread.

If you’re looking for something different to do with your roast chicken, try this Asian style roast chicken with honey, miso and ginger glaze. It’s sweet, salty, sticky and seriously aromatic, ideal for the weekend.

Swap your carb-loaded potato chips for a healthier alternative with this these DIY beetroot crisps.

Entertaining? This roasted butternut, smoked beef, feta and pumpkin seed quiche will have your guests raving.

Are you in the mood for something deep-fried and sweet? These double glazed apple fritter donuts will hit the spot.

In the quick fix meat department, we’ve got these soy and honey pork chops.
