Winter menu at The Roundhouse Cape Town

The Roundhouse is in between the lush trees of Kloof Neck Road and the breezy winds of the Atlantic ocean. It has always been a luxurious hideaway for Capetonians and visitors who want to experience fine dining and stunning views.

Each season a new menu, each new menu a display of sumptuous dishes that are a feast for both the eyes and palate.

This winter boasts a generous 4 course meal, that turns into something like 7 by the end of the evening, that lasts until the 30th of September. With a partner you can try nearly everything and everything you must try.

Start with the pumpkin veloute that is soft and smooth with a rich creamy sweetness that encompasses your mouth while warming your entire body at the same time. The salad is a bright and zesty option that leaves you feeling ready for the next course.

For your second course the slow cooked beef and Malay pickled fish employ and wake up the taste buds as you move onto the third and main course.

If you are a pork fanatic, go with the Asian pork ribs and a that smile will never leave your face until you have to decide whether you want to lick your plate clean or mannerly allow the attentive staff to save your dignity by taking your plate away.

The cheese platter is a choice for those who aren’t decadence lovers, but the aromatic rooibos custard is a cup of tea in solid sweet form accompanied by contrasting tart figs and crunchy honeycomb.

The waiters and sommeliers can’t help but entertain you as they offer dish after dish as a team of well trained staff to cater to your every need. If you do not like to be fussed over, this is not the meal for you.

If you like pampering, fine dining and a splash of spoils, you will certainly leave satisfied.

Starting at R325 and R565 with wine pairing.  More details about The Roundhouse winter menu here.
