What if someone told you that you don’t have to worry about ‘garlic breath’ ever again?

This week we tried a new capsule called Garlict, which claims to take away garlic breath after a meal. Produced by a South African company and made with parsley seed oil, green tea extract and chia seed oil, it apparently takes away garlic breath in just 20 minutes.

I popped two capsules after a particularly potent spaghetti Bolognaise, and then waited. It occurred to me that I had no way of testing whether they actually worked. Should I go breathe on people? After half an hour I did notice my mouth felt “fresher”. The tablets also taste nice and minty. They’re a little pricy at R98.95, but I’d recommend them – any excuse to eat more garlic is good enough for me.
