WATCH: Our favourite childhood chocolate milk now comes in a sugar-free version – but does it taste different? We find out

One of South Africa’s favourite dairy drinks, Steri-Stumpie flavoured milk, has just released 3 of their best selling flavours in a no sugar added Lite variety. The new flavours have no added sugars and are sweetened with sucralose.

We asked our colleagues at 24.com to participate in our not-very-scientific study, to see if in a blind taste test – could they tell the difference between the Original and the Lite? We tested with the most popular flavour, chocolate. 

Here are some of the results: 

The results are in, and it shows that most of us can tell the difference between the two, but no one said that they specifically disliked the new Lite version. Some of us could not initially tell the difference between the two, with the most obvious difference being the colour.
