The young couple are bringing a refreshing modern touch to almost all aspects of their wedding, and their choice of pastry chef is no exception!
It has been announced that Anglo-American celebrity baker, Claire Ptak, has been asked to create a cake for the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Raised in the US, Claire is the perfect choice for this union between a British prince and his American bride.
A few sneaky details have been released by Kensington Palace, suggesting a bright floral theme, with hints of citrus!
Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have asked Claire to create a lemon elderflower cake that will incorporate the bright flavours of spring. It will be covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers.

Described as a “lemon elderflower cake”, it will be covered in buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers, in the style of Claire’s other creations from her London bakery, Violet Cakes.
