The rapper beloved by legions of music fans has announced that he is expanding his business empire to include the publishing of his first cookbook.

The cover was released by publishers, Chronicle Books, this week on Twitter and already the food world is gearing up for a taste of Snoop’s munchie-beating recipes. The rapper is well known for his advocacy of a lifestyle that embraces recreational marijuana use.

Snoop co-hosts the Emmy-nominated cooking/talk show, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party”, with US homemaking queen, Martha Stewart. The duo have just finished taping the second season of the hit VH1 show. Although the two are an unlikely pair, the friendship between them is genuine, and fans are loving it!

Snoop talked about his project recently, “You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen. I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favourite recipes, ya dig?”

Recipes range from high-end Lobster Thermidor through to a more homey recipe for Snoop’s signature Mac & Cheese. None of the dishes call for cannabis as an ingredient, a statement by Chronicle Books declares, but if you should be in the mood for some snacks – Snoop’s recipes will be sure to satisfy your cravings.

The cookbook will be released in October 2018, with pre-orders now open in South Africa with Exclusive Books online.
