Yotam Ottolenghi, the celebrated Israeli-British chef and prolific cookbook author, announced on Instagram last week that he is starting a podcast.

Fans of Ottolenghi flock daily to his eponymous delis and restaurants in London – where the food (usually served family-style on giant platters) is a nod to his Middle Eastern heritage. He is famous for bringing vegetables to the fore and got us all excited about using things like pomegranates, za’atar, and sumac.

His books, “Plenty” and “Jerusalem”, have become cult classics and so it only makes sense that his loyal following is gifted with the offering of a podcast.

He says, “Simple Pleasures is a series in which I invite you and a special guest into my home to discuss the simple pleasures in life, from food (mainly food actually), to travel to art, food again… we discuss all of this over dishes from my new book, Simple”.
