The Twitter account, Italians Mad at Food, has over 50 000 followers – where passionate Italians aim to set the record straight to all those claiming that their dishes are Italian. The tweets are pretty blunt and the Italians don’t hold back. 

It’s no secret that almost everyone loves Italian food – whether it is pasta, pizza or the much fancier risotto that satisfies our bellies. Italians can take this imitation of their food as flattery and be proud that the rest of the world enjoys their delicious cuisine.
