We put our favourite McCain shepherd’s pie from Kamini Pather to the ultimate test: the Philips Essential XL Connected Airfryer test.
We’re not going to lie – the prospect of making good old comforting shepherd’s pie but in half the time and with a crispier topping than ever seen before is a challenge we simply could not pass up!
A few tweaks were made to the original recipe: the butternut mash topping was swapped for McCain Crispy Skin On Oven Chips because air fryers were made for chips and there’s no such thing as too many chips, ever!

The results were spectacular. One might even go as far as to say that this shepherd’s pie was golden, crisp and utterly chip-tastic!
