Fusion foods combine elements of various culinary traditions that originate from different countries. The concept of fusion foods is not new to the global culinary scene but in 2021 it gained popularity again and resulted in the creation of many much-loved fusion food dishes.
Humans have been sharing their cultural heritage for decades and with this, the birth of food fusions welcomed a number of dishes that are the perfect blend of flavours. Fusion foods do not only include the blending of flavours from different cultures but also be demonstrated in the use of different culinary techniques, textures and methods to create new dishes.
While some may consider this a ‘foodie crime’ – we believe that it is the merger of the best of both worlds, yielding absolutely delicious results!
