Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel- Lounge Tea

Enjoy sumptuous cakes, pastries and sandwiches stacked in tiers, while listening to a live piano performance.
With different times ranging from morning to evening, this high tea allows guests to enjoy a variety of desserts depending on the time of day. Prices differ with regards to which tea time option you pick.
Described as the finest High tea venue in Cape Town, the Table Bay Hotel lounge restaurant is an ideal location to sit down and relax over a cup of tea and a few treats. With beautiful views of the Cape Town harbor and the tranquil open sea, you can enjoy a traditional high tea prepared by an award-winning team of chefs.
There are two seatings, one from 14:00 to 15:30 and another from 16:00 to 17:30.

The Silo Hotel – The Granary Cafe
The luxurious new Silo Hotel, towering above the V&A Waterfront, has arguably the greatest views of Cape Town. The Hotel’s restaurant, the Granary Café offers two types of high teas. The afternoon tea costing R 160 per person is a selection of the chef’s sweet treat, including the cake of the day, as well as a variety of savoury snacks to nibble on, whilst enjoying your choice of brew. The Royal Tea is the chef’s selection of small chocolatey desserts and exquisite tea time treats as well as a selection savoury delights that are exclusive to the Royal Tea experience, this will cost you R 225 per person.
Please, take note that 24 hours preparation time is needed when booking for the Royal Tea experience.
Another perfect place for an exclusive high tea experience is the Cape Grace, Signal restaurant. With its classical décor, amazing harbor views and the sweet aroma of tea, the venue sets the ideal ambience for a great afternoon break. The great thing about this particular high tea are the five styles to pick from, like ‘Cream Tea’, ‘Champagne Afternoon Tea,’ ‘Tea For the not so-hungry,’ and so on.
The afternoon tea is served from 12:00 until 18:00 and prices range from R 60 to R 550 depending on your taste buds.
The MannaBay Hotel- Restuarant
Last on the list is the MannaBay Hotel, found at the foot of Table Mountain. Mannabay serves a high tea for guests from 15:30 to 17:30 daily. With The chefs preparing and creating new high tea concepts on a daily basis, guests are offered a variety of fresh, decadently sweet and savoury treats. Choose between champagne, juice, coffee or tea at R 290 a person.
