If you have a phobia of heights you might want to steer clear of this one!
The Soneva Kiri Resort in Thailand pleasures adventure seekers with a unique dining experience… being lifted about 35 feet in the air in a lofty woven basket fully designed to meet the diners’ needs. Once they have reached the top they are met with beautiful scenes of the gulf for a more refreshing time out.

If you had expected waiters to climb the tree or received their orders via a bucket system (think again!) – each bamboo has its own allocated waiter which will bring orders using a zip line that cruises through the forest (this means faster service for everyone) – each line to a different bamboo located around the secluded area.
According to When On Earth, the concept is derived to ‘mimick the forest natural surroundings’ and to add a sense of earthiness to the venue, they have decor to highlight this.
The scenes are beautiful, the decor is comfortable (apparently) but the mere thought of having your food flying across a zipline should bring you to a halt. Even though the orders seem completely intact there is no guarantee that you won’t be a victim to spilled drinks. Nevertheless, if you are into experiential and unique dining – add this one to your bucket list!
