Cape Town – We’ve just received news that TOKARA’S talented and respected winemaker, Miles Mossop will be leaving the Stellenbosch wine estate to pursue Miles Mossop Wines – which has, up until now been produced in conjunction with TOKARA. You might be familiar with the white ‘Saskia’ – a white blend of Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Clairette Blanche, ‘Max’ his red Bordeaux blend or ‘Kika’ – a Noble Late Harvest made from Chenin Blanc. These wines are all named after Miles’ children.

Tokara’s GT Ferreira says, “While it is never easy to bid farewell to a longstanding member of the TOKARA family, we remain grateful to Miles for his contribution to TOKARA’s success and wish him the best for his future endeavours. We are thankful for his dedication to TOKARA over the past 18 years and it is this investment that will allow us to continue to produce wines of excellence going forward. This is the inevitable evolution for a winemaker of Miles’ stature and we support his ambition to build his own brand and business.”

Food24 is looking forward to seeing the Miles Mossop brand grow from strength to strength!
