The crisp, sparkling legacy of Graham Beck was born on a starry summer’s eve. Whilst the Robertson cellar had all but received its roof, the maiden vintage of Graham Beck’s Cap Classique had been crafted underneath the glittering Milky Way.
It is said that the crisp evening kept the handpicked berries cool, concentrating the delicate aromas and flavours.
Cellar Master Pieter Ferreira recalls the occurrence; “There were hundreds of headlamps flickering in the vineyard – it looked like a sparkle of fireflies on the move! It was a true full-circle moment that took me back to our very first harvest under the night sky”.
For centuries, stars have inspired and helped people navigate through Earth and if not for the stargazers and constellations, we would never have developed the desire to explore, sail the seas and in this unique instance, craft exceptional Cap Classique. If this is not a true legacy written in the stars, we don’t know what is.
While a sprinkle of stars is a sight to see, it’s always better to taste it.
