WATCH: Vertical farms could reduce food importing in UAE

By now we are all aware of urban farming, and how urban agriculture has introduced a variety of ways to produce food safely. Well this innovative vertical farming method helps make your gardening simple and easier.

How amazing is it that the first vertical garden in the United Arab Emirates has given the country the ability to lessen the importing of produce and actually allows them to grow their own fresh produce?

Farming in the UAE has always been tricky, climate plays a major role and the UAE is mostly dessert and super hot, which makes it difficult to farm. According to The Christian Science Monitor,  “Growing food locally for the firm’s 30 UAE clients – mainly
restaurants and hotels – means a smaller carbon footprint, and saves on
transport costs.”

A great aspect to this type of farming is that this technology-based method toward food production empowers people to grow their own food and also creates the opportunity to grow produce anywhere in the world.
